EBC had been looking after our Group protection schemes and private medical insurance scheme successfully for a number of years as such when we were looking for a consultancy to assist us in developing a flexible benefits programme EBC were a natural choice for us.

However the first task was to rationalise and consolidate the various Group pension schemes that had come about by the Group’s previous acquisitions before installing the flexible benefits programme.

EBC undertook the project management role, coordinating the 3rd party providers as well as going around the various company locations around the country, communicating the changes to the employees and assisting them with the decision making.

Throughout the project EBC provided us with excellent support and were always on hand to help. During the roll out of the benefits programme it was a particularly frenetic time for the Company and HR department, however, EBC’s ‘can do’ approach was versatile to meet with our requirements, along with their willingness to engage with employees, allowed us to reduce the amount of resources the company had to commit in rolling out our benefits programme.

Bowmer and Kirkland is one of the largest privately owned construction company in the UK. As such we have a diverse set of employees spread over a large number of locations. We wanted to ensure our DC pension scheme members had improved access to advice and information regarding their pension benefits, and at the same time develop the administration of the scheme to improve its efficiency.

Therefore we needed to ensure that the consultancy we selected was able to have the right blend of infrastructure to support such a large on going program as well as being flexible to cope with the varying demands and needs of the employees.

Having worked with EBC for 5 years, pension scheme take up has increased significantly, the administration of the benefit is highly efficient and has reduced our department's workload considerably. They have always been willing to react quickly when required to do so by the company and are happy to engage with staff as much as possible.
